What is it?
Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made shells bonded to the front of your teeth to change their colour, shape, size or alignment. At Miles of Smiles Dental Center in Swaifyeh, Amman, veneers are planned and placed by Dr. Majed A. Are veneers right for you?
Veneers suit people with healthy teeth and gums. Some problems need treating first, such as decay, gum disease, or teeth grinding (which calls for a night guard). Very crowded teeth may need orthodontic treatment instead. At your consultation we will tell you honestly if another option, such as whitening, cosmetic fillings or clear aligners, suits you better.
How long do veneers last?
With good care, porcelain veneers often last ten years or more. Lifespan depends on your bite, habits such as nail-biting or chewing ice, teeth grinding, and how well you look after your teeth. Regular check-ups, and a night guard if you grind, help them last.
